Good work starts with a good plan. Whether you’re looking for a small repair, a remodel, or a full-home renovation,
my goal is to keep the process straightforward, communicate clearly, and deliver quality results you can feel confident about.
1) Reach Out
Contact me by phone, email, or through the Request a Free Consult page. Share what you’re trying to accomplish
and your general timeline.
- Brief project description
- Address / service area confirmation
- Preferred timeline
- Photos (helpful, not required)
2) Quick Call to Clarify
We’ll do a quick call to make sure the project is a good fit and to clarify goals, budget expectations, and any constraints.
If it’s not a fit, I’ll tell you upfront and help point you in the right direction.
- Confirm scope and expectations
- Identify unknowns and risks
- Discuss materials and options
3) On-Site Visit
For most projects, I’ll schedule an on-site visit to inspect the area, take measurements, and talk through options.
This is where we identify what’s behind the walls (when applicable) and set realistic next steps.
- Measurements and assessment
- Discuss best approach
- Outline possible solutions
4) Estimate & Scope
You’ll receive a written estimate with a clear scope of work. Where there are multiple ways to solve the problem,
I’ll explain the options so you can choose what makes the most sense for your home and budget.
- Clear scope and deliverables
- Materials and finish selections
- Timeline expectations
5) Scheduling & Prep
Once approved, we schedule the work and confirm details. For remodels and larger projects,
we’ll also discuss access, protection of the home, and any ordering lead times.
- Schedule confirmed
- Materials ordered (if needed)
- Home protection plan
6) Build / Repair
Work begins. I keep the job site organized and communicate progress along the way.
If anything unexpected shows up (it happens in older homes), I’ll explain it and talk through options before moving forward.
- Clean, respectful work
- Progress updates
- No surprises without communication
7) Final Walkthrough
When the work is complete, we walk the project together. I’ll confirm everything meets expectations,
review any care/maintenance notes, and address final punch items if needed.
- Walkthrough & verification
- Punch list (if needed)
- Clean-up and closeout
8) Follow-Through
I stand behind my work. If a concern comes up related to completed work, I want to know about it.
My goal is long-term quality and relationships, not one-time transactions.
- Workmanship accountability
- Clear communication after completion
